To start off the winter right I went on an adventure without having to leave Whyte Ave.
At Exit on Whyte I tried my hand at escaping from Division 37.

Lilacs are one of my favorite spring flowers, they are so fragrant.
This past weekend I foraged a bunch and made them into lilac sugar. This quick and easy recipe is a great base for a sugar scrub, a simple syrup, a delicious ingredient for baking, and nice in tea!
To see how easy it is to make check out my short video below;
Thank you for watching!
With the spring warmth all the lilacs are out and about. Which gave me a great excuse to wear floral print.
I paired the dress with some playful pink and gold bangles a friend brought me back from India. The necklace was given to me from a different friend who also went to India and brought it back. I might just have to go to India myself and buy all the jewelry!
My Outfit of the Day
Saturday morning breakfast at Alforno Bakery & Café. I ordered the sweet and delicious Ricotta Hotcakes. Served warm with honey butter ready to melt on top and yummy berry mix.
The Gravlax Eggs Benedict looked too good to eat!
Supper time came and we checked out Boxwood. I loved the location, it was on the edge of a little park in the city surrounded by trees. We tried a variety of dishes at this farm to table restaurant. To share we ordered the Charcuterie Board, Albacore Tuna Tataki, Organic Chickpea Quinoa & Okanagan Apples Salad, Whole Rotisserie Rainbow Trout, and Mountain View Organic Chicken.
For a late night snack we walked over to Village Ice Cream. I could smell the waffle cones getting made as we entered. With so many great homemade flavors, it was hard to choose! I decided on a single scoop of Cardamom Ice Cream served in a freshly made waffle cone and I was not disappointed with my choice.
The next day for brunch we walked over to Blue Star Diner. To start my day right I ordered the Back Bacon & Grilled Tomato Bennie. The lunch options looked amazing too, below is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger.
I can’t wait to go back to Calgary and eat at more great places!
On Tuesday Averynthe (Calgary) collection came out powerful with a light thin black material. The ladies rocked it as they flowed down the runway. My favorite feature – The Cape Belt – Of course!
My Wednesday night favorite was the local LUX Ready to Wear. The collection has a great selection of business ready attire. My favorite feature – A sparkly black material that shone and sparkled with every move the models took. It looked like twinkling stars lived in their outfits.
Special Mention – Tuesday’s Trippy Hippy’s collection brought so much color and fun to the runway. The quilted outfits with glitter hair were a party for the eyes.
